If you begin to type a name you will be presented with a list of names. The name only has to contain the characters that you type. Example: Typing Smith will bring up Goldsmith, John as well as Smith, John Names are not case sensitive.

You can either click an entity name to be taken to a page of parcels the selected entity has an interest in or hover over an enity name to be presented with a list of parcels that the selected entity has an interest in.

Also, you have the capability to page up and page down with the list of names by clicking the down arrow located at the bottom of the list if the number of names makes this applicable. Clicking the down arrow will enable an up arrow so may page back up.

If you click the "Search" button you will open a page with a list of names based on a last name, first name search. Example: Searching for Smith will bring up a list of Smith, John. It will not display Goldsmith, John.

Helpful Hints

The three digit tax district and ten digit parcel number is found on your tax statement (show me where; see labels A & B) or can be obtained from the county treasurer's office or the county auditor's office.

The unique identifier can most always be left blank. In the future, it may be used on parcels with multiple classifications.

A Map number is a fifteen digit alphanumeric field used by GIS systems.

It may be used by the Assessors' web site as the key.

An Entity is defined as any party that has a legal interest in the real property. Examples of entities are the deed holder, mortgage lender, and real estate tax paying service.

An Entity ID is also known as an Owner ID and an Owner Entity.

One Entity ID may be associated with multiple properties.

The Entity ID is shown on the tax statement above the mailing address (show me where; see label F). Do not include any leading letters.

Both the book and page may be entered without regard to beginning and trailing blanks.

You must specify both the book and page.

You may use upper and lower case in all fields; the search will convert to upper case for you.

Section, township, range are important limiting factors. There are many parcels in a county that have the same legal description, but are located in different sections, townships or ranges.

The section, township and range is printed on your tax bill (show me where; see labels D and E).

Legal descriptions on the real estate record do not necessarily match those on the Recorder's record. Use a different search method.
